Rich Hayworth is a sales expert with more than 20 years of dynamic experience and a proven track record in the animal health industry. He joined Brakke Consulting in 2023 and, before that, worked as a sales and marketing consultant for various animal health companies in the US, Canada, and South Korea since 2017.
Rich leverages his experience with top-tier organizations like Novartis Animal Heath, Virbac, Aratana Therapeutics, and Abaxis to advise clients on channel strategies, sales optimization, product placement, and marketing programs. He has built a reputation for securing profitable partnerships with major corporate hospital groups, distributors, and e-retailers.
His knowledge of product launches and go-to-market plans, along with a deep understanding of customer needs, has led to many successful partnerships, including VCA, Banfield, VMG, NVA, Chewy, Amazon, and 800PetMeds, among others.
Dr. Robert (Bob) Jones has broad global experience in the animal health industry, from R&D to marketing and operations to sales, while working for several major global animal health companies. Bob currently leads Brakke Consulting, focusing only on the animal health and nutrition industries.
Before joining Brakke Consulting, Bob worked for 12 years for Novartis Animal Health as President and CEO of the North American business and then as the Head of International Animal Health business.
Bob started his career at American Cyanamid and has first-hand experience of the consolidation in the industry, having gone through five acquisitions in his career. He has held senior leadership positions in Fort Dodge Animal Health, Roche Vitamins, Alpharma, and Pharmacia Animal Health.
Bob graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, and then, through a Rotary Fellowship, he graduated with a Master of Science in Animal Nutrition from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Bob finished his education with a research fellowship at the University of Illinois, where he earned a Ph.D. in Animal Science.
