Description
Speaker: Brad Patton, BS
Brad Patton has been in the veterinary industry for more than two decades. He started his career in shelter medicine, a cause he is still passionate about. He has worked as a dog trainer and has hundreds of hours of volunteer work training search and rescue dogs for FEMA. After working up through a couple general practices, he helped manage a large specialty and referral practice with multiple locations. During that time he also helped form a buying group and orchestrated several multi-million dollar purchasing contracts. He has seen this industry from many angles. Brad graduated from the Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration. During these studies he was awarded a highly regarded fellowship with the U.S. West Center for Business Success, where he helped several large companies take their operations to the next level. He spent a couple years learning inventory management as a manager for one of Colorado's largest liquor stores. He has worked with pharmacists, human hospital purchasers, and national distributors. His knowledge of inventory management has allowed him to help dozens of companies in a variety of industries. Beyond many veterinary practices, Brad has helped construction companies, restaurants, and auto parts stores with inventory control. Currently he manages Veterinary System Services, Inc., a company dedicated to helping veterinarians take their practices to the next level. VSS is helping many veterinarians through relief staffing services, while also helping veterinary professionals find the career that is right for them. In addition, VSS helps veterinary practices with inventory control and client retention through specialized consulting services.
