Cory is a Vice President of Benefits Consulting at Alera Group. Cory has developed considerable expertise in the Veterinary Industry, working with veterinary hospitals all over the country. Cory co-manages Alera Veterinary and has proudly served as the American Animal Hospital Associations (AAHA) preferred-provider for employee benefits since 2009.
Cory works to provide guidance and objective analysis of group insurance benefits and is currently responsible for the health insurance and employee benefit programs of more than 150 veterinary practices.
Cory has earned the Chartered Benefits Consultant (CBC) designation, provided by the National Association of Alternative Benefits Consultants, which demonstrates his expertise in Consumer-Driven Health Plans. In 2016, he was selected as a Young Gun Award recipient by Insurance Business America, which recognizes young professionals making a significant impact in the insurance industry.
Cory was also named a Rising Star in 2017 by Employee Benefit Adviser, earning recognition as one of only 20 brokers age 35 and younger nationwide who exhibit quick thinking, openness to change, and the ability to navigate the ever-changing employee benefits landscape. Cory was selected for the 2nd year in a row as a 2018 Employee Benefit Adviser Rising Star, recognized again as one of only 20 standout advisers ages 35 and younger who are taking charge of the employee benefit supply chain with a determination to reduce costs and improve client outcomes.
