VHMA Webinar: 20/20 Vision - Prepare Your Hospital with Proper Planning and Goal Setting
VHMA Member Price: $0; Nonmember Price: $0
Imagine your hospital is a ship. The success of the journey is dependent on it remaining afloat and staying on course. Sailors navigate with information obtained from satellites, but you will need operational and strategic plans when charting the course for the hospital. Operational plans focus on short-term goals. Strategic plans take a longer view---between three and five years.
Participants will learn how to develop an operational/comprehensive plan and formulate clear and specific goals to guide hospital operations over a year, including staffing and team development/training, marketing, pricing, profit margins, expected growth, and facility and equipment upgrades. The hospital’s strategic plan is the starting point for the development of its operational plan. By learning how to review and set goals for all aspects of these operations, hospitals will be well-positioned to achieve strategic objectives. The presenters will also address the role managers play in adding value to the process and impacting the efficiency and success of the plan.
Participants can apply this information and create a cohesive operational plan that will focus their team on the vision for the upcoming year.
